The Kamchatka region sits at the far east of Russia; nature there is unique. This is a land of active volcanoes, and the territory of bears.
This trip is an exceptionnal opportunity to spend a few days on Kurile lake, one of the few spots on the planet where one can observe bears from up close, a real paradise for animal photographers!
This place is hard to get to, it is a scientists camp within a nature reserve, and can accomodate only one group of photographers at a time: this is the territory of bears, and humans are merely humble visitors. No wonder this is the place which movie makers choose when they want to film bears :)
Also in our program: ice caves, the inside crater of an active volcano, and breathtaking views of volcanoes.
